Parts of N1 still closed

Pretoria - Parts of the N1 highway in Pretoria will remain closed for up to seven hours, according to Tshwane police.

“Only one lane is still closed on the N1 southbound, while two are open,” Tshwane Police spokesperson Superintendent Alta Fourie told News24.

“All lanes on the northbound highway are still closed, and will remain closed for anything up to seven hours,” she said. “At this stage, we are only making use of the offramp and onramp.”

According to Fourie, the Atterbury bridge was also closed.

The closures are a result of an accident between two other vehicles under the bridge on Wednesday afternoon.
