Passenger kills taxi driver

Durban - A minibus taxi driver was shot dead by a passenger after an argument in Dukuduku near Mtubatuba, KwaZulu-Natal police said on Monday.

"On Saturday there was an argument between a taxi driver and a passenger.

"The man wanted to get off at a certain point which was out of the driver's way, the driver refused. The man allegedly drew out a gun and shot the driver twice in the head," said Captain Jabulani Mdletshe.

Mdletshe said the other passengers ran away.

"No arrests have been made, it is also not clear if the incident was related to taxi violence but police are investigating," he said.
