Pensioner found dead in Limpopo

Johannesburg - An elderly woman has been murdered in Ga
Mothapo, Limpopo, police said on Friday.
Police were called on Thursday around 22:00 to a home
where they found the body of 72-year-old Jostinah Bopane tied up with rope and
with multiple injuries to her head, said police spokesperson Moses Molepo.
"A preliminary investigation reveals that the victim
had been robbed [of] money before being hacked to death with an unknown
object," he said.
"It appears the victim was killed on
Wednesday."
A case of murder and robbery was being investigated.
Meanwhile, a 13-year-old girl from Mentz, in Mshongoville
section in Limpopo, was raped on Sunday by an unknown man around 3:00.
"The victim was walking with her two female friends when
the attacker pointed a gun [at them] and [took] her to the bushes," said
Molepo.
"The victim was taken to Mankweng hospital for
medical treatment and doctors on duty confirmed the incident."
No arrests had been made. Community members were asked to
assist police with information.
