Oscar makes world headlines

See how the news of Oscar Pistorius allegedly shooting his girlfriend has made international headlines.

Pretoria - A convoy of about 10 police cars arrived at the Boschkop police station in Pretoria on Thursday morning following a shooting at Paralympian Oscar Pistorius's house in the east of the city.

Pistorius's sister, Aimee, was among those arriving at the station.

"We have opened a case of murder," police spokesperson Lieutenant Colonel Katlego Mogale said.

A woman was shot in the head and upper body in Pistorius's home in the Silver Woods Golf Estate in Boschkop in the early hours of Thursday morning, according to reports.
