Police arrest 4 after tip-off

Johannesburg - Four men were arrested in Alexandra after being found in possession of guns and linked to robberies and car thefts, Johannesburg metro police said.

A patrol in the area was tipped off about the men being at a house in Africa Street, said spokesperson Wayne Minnaar.

Officers went to the house and found one man in possession of a revolver and a rifle and 38 rounds of ammunition.

A second man, found in possession of eight cellphones, was linked to a Honeydew house robbery and the theft of a VW Polo.

The other two were connected to the theft of a black Volvo in Ivory Park and the hijacking of a Hyundai from the driveway of a house in Randburg.

They are to appear in court soon.

    This is a great step forward that has been happening( well report more). Communities all over South Africa need to continue to turn in these killers and thieves. This in the long run will show that all south Africans have a common goal to live in peace and that they will not stand for the shame that these people bring to the country. All i can say more of this needs to continue at all levels, in all communities.
