Johannesburg - A police raid at an alleged drug dealer's
house in Durban netted drugs worth R280 000 and over R200 000 in cash,
KwaZulu-Natal police said on Saturday.
"Police received information about a huge
consignment of drugs on the premises," said spokesperson Jay Naicker.
"The home was searched on Friday and pure cocaine
powder, 1 000 pieces of rock cocaine as well as 600 packets of heroine were
found... the drugs have an estimated value of R280 000. Over R200 000 in cash
was also seized."
The owner of the house was not home at the time of the
raid.
Naicker said the owner, a well-known alleged drug dealer,
was arrested in January after police seized over R5m worth of drugs from the
same house last month.
He is currently out on bail.
No arrests were made on Friday.
