Johannesburg - A murder charge is being investigated
against a Centurion policeman who shot dead an intruder at his home in
Eldoraigne, police said on Thursday.
"The officer woke up at night to find intruders in
his house. He fired at them," said police spokesperson Katlego Mogale.
One of the intruders died in the shooting on Wednesday.
The other, who was wounded, fled in an Opel Corsa.
"A case of murder and that of house robbery are
being investigated," she said.
Mogale did not give the policeman's age or rank.
