Pretoria – Well-known 7de Laan actor, Hendrik
Cronjé and a friend were hijacked and robbed in the early hours of Friday morning
in Pretoria. The
robbers left them in a field near the township Mamelodi.
But a few hours
after his nightmare experience, Cronjé, who plays the role of Lukas Mulder, was
back on set of the popular soapie.
Cronjé and
Heinrich Schultz attended the première of the movie Bakgat! 2 in Menlyn on Thursday night.
When they got
to their car, which was parked near the Menlyn shopping centre, at about 01:00,
they were attacked by two men.
"I
thought they were just going to rob us, but when they ordered us to get into
the car, I thought here they are going to shoot me," told Cronjé on Saturday.
The hijackers
drove away with the men in the car and later decided to put them in the boot of
the car.
"We are
going to kill you now!" the hijackers apparently yelled the whole time,
said Cronjé.
The car
stopped in Mamelodi at a field. The hijackers ordered them to get out and drove
away. Cronjé and his friend walked to a house and asked for help.
Police found Cronjé's
car in Mamelodi due to a tracking system.
"I thank
the Lord that we are alive. It could have been much worse."
