Pretoria - Two Johannesburg school teachers accused of possessing and distributing child pornography were each granted R5 000 bail in the Benoni Magistrate's Court on Wednesday, police said.
They will be back in court on December 15, Captain Julia Sparks said.
The teachers, aged 44 and 46, were arrested on Tuesday after allegedly keeping child pornography on their computers.
In September, a teacher at the Brentwood Primary School in Benoni went into the school's media centre to do some printing.
She noticed copies of child pornography and reported it to the principal.
The pornographic material was allegedly traced to a laptop of one of the teachers and the computer of another. One teacher was arrested at the school, the other at his home.
