Pregnant woman shot dead in Cape Town home

Cape Town – A 34-year-old pregnant woman was shot dead in her Delft home at the weekend, according to Western Cape police.

She was shot in the stomach and chest at the N2 Gateway housing project on Sunday afternoon, Constable Noloyiso Rwexana said on Monday.

Police knew her identity and were investigating a case of murder.

It was not known how far along she was in her pregnancy.

Rwexana said no arrests had yet been made.
