Premier's son sent for drug rehab
Johannesburg - Gauteng Premier Nomvula Mokonyane's son, Africa, pleaded guilty to a drug-related offence in the Kagiso Magistrate's Court on Thursday.
"Africa is to undergo drug rehabilitation with immediate effect," the premier's spokesperson Xoli Mngambi said.
He was unable to give details on the nature of the crime.
The premier was satisfied the law has taken its course, Mngambi said.
"Africa has owned up to the crime and accepted responsibility. He will be seeking professional help."
