Durban - A 26-year-old man, who was due in court on Monday in connection with the murder of the son of KwaZulu-Natal's social services and development MEC early this year, is still at large, police reported.
Mlungisi Zulu, who allegedly shot dead Prince Mazwi Zulu, escaped from custody on Friday.
Mlungisi Zulu was seeking bail in connection with another unrelated case when he leapt from the dock and escaped from Eshowe magistrate's court.
Superintendent Vish Naidoo said on Monday Mlungisi Zulu's three alleged accomplices would appear in Mtubatuba magistrate's court.
They are charged with murder, armed robbery, attempted murder and possession of unlicensed firearms.
Prince Mazwi Zulu was ambushed and killed while travelling with his mother and a driver between Ulundi and Melmoth in January.
His mother and the driver, although wounded, survived the attack.
The victim's father, Prince Gideon Zulu, said at the weekend he was "deeply disturbed" by the escape.
