Psych report due in child molester case

2012-07-30 17:21

Johannesburg - A psychologist report is to be handed to the Parow Regional Court next month in the sentencing proceedings of an elderly child molester.

Johannes Adolph Kleinhans, 72, of Malan Street, Parow North, was found guilty in May on 95 charges, including indecently assaulting two teenage girls and using them to make child pornography.

Kleinhans, out on R50 000 bail, was neatly dressed in a dark suit when he appeared before Magistrate Amanda van Leeve on Monday.

Prosecutor Herculine Swart told the court the trial was on the court roll for the finalisation of the sentencing proceedings, but that the psychologist's report had not yet arrived.

The matter was postponed to 13 August.

Kleinhans' victims were aged 13 and 14 when he molested them between 2009 and 2010.
