Johannesburg - Police discovered a consignment of drugs with a street value of R170m at OR Tambo International Airport on Tuesday, SABC radio news reported.
Crime Intelligence and Interpol spokesperson Tumi Golding said the drugs were discovered during a routine check of a flight from Pakistan.
"The flight carried a consignment of drugs weighing 565kg with a street value estimated at R170m," she said.
This was the biggest drug bust in five years. Details were still sketchy and police were investigating, Golding said.
