Rain prolongs Palm Ridge power cut
Johannesburg - Wet weather is impeding efforts to restore power to the Palm Ridge area, the Ekurhuleni metropolitan municipality said on Monday.
The power outage began on Sunday afternoon as a result of two faulty cables, spokesperson Zweli Dlamini said in a statement.
He said that power would only be restored in the next 12 hours if the wet weather did not halt repairs.
Dlamini assured Palm Ridge consumers that "all is being done to restore power in the affected are as speedily as possible".
