Durban - A 94-year-old great-grandmother has told how she begged a man to stop raping her and how he just put his hand over her mouth.
The Daily News reported that relatives of the woman were outraged as her attacker was a convict who had recently been released due to a presidential pardon.
The grandmother, who is partially deaf, was raped in front of two of her grandchildren.
“He had no compassion. I cried, begging him to stop, asking him why he was killing me, but he just put his hand over my mouth,” she said.
She said she thought she was going to die.
She was recovering at a relative’s house where she was said to remain indoors a lot.
A suspect had been arrested and had appeared in court.
