Suspected rapists still on the run

2012-03-01 18:12
Johannesburg - Three men were being sought on Thursday after they raped a woman during an armed house robbery in Bronville in the Free State, police said.

The robbery took place around 20:00 on Sunday, Warrant Officer Malebo Khosana said.

"It is alleged that three men, dressed in blankets, balaclavas, and gumboots, were armed with a knife and two firearms," he said.

"The 32-year-old woman was raped in full view of her 4-year-old son in a bedroom while her husband was assaulted in the kitchen."

The robbers fled with an undisclosed amount of money. "Police are still looking for the three males, who are possibly Lesotho nationals."

Anyone with information can phone the Bronville police station on 057 394 3501.
