Johannesburg - Afrikaans Sunday newspaper Rapport has appointed a new editor, it reported on Sunday.
Waldimar Pelser, currently a senior deputy editor at the weekly, will take over the editorship on June 1, said Media24 executive head Esmare Weideman.
Pelser has also been news editor of the Afrikaans daily Beeld, and was the founding editor of the news magazine, NuusNou/NewsNow, which was shut down last year.
He takes over from Bokkie Gerber, who has reached retirement age.
