Rhino horn: Vietnamese man in court

2012-05-14 07:50

Johannesburg - A Vietnamese man allegedly found with three rhino horns will appear in the Kempton Park Magistrate's Court on Monday.

That Thai Dung, 25, was arrested at OR Tambo International Airport on April 22, when the horns were found in his luggage.

Dung was leaving South Africa when his bags were searched by the Hawks, Airports Company SA officials and the SA Revenue Service (Sars).

"The man has travelled to South Africa before and he was being closely monitored when he was arrested," Sars spokesperson Adrian Lackay said earlier.

He said Dung faced various charges, including contravening the Customs and Excise Act.

Why didn't they follow him to see where the horn goes to. That way they will get the people who are orchestrating this whole thing

It's because some of the hawks are deeply involved in this sheet. For him to be arrested is because he was not interested in giving the share!!!
