Durban - Three armed robbers tied up two people before making off with chocolates and a television set from a tuckshop near Durban, KwaZulu-Natal police said on Wednesday.
Spokesperson Muzi Mngomezulu said the security guard at Khams Tuckshop in Verulam was approached by three men armed with guns and a knife in the early hours of Wednesday morning.
Refusing to hand over his cellphones, one of the men stabbed the guard in the hand.
While keeping the man under watch, they broke into a nearby car, stealing the tapes and radio. They then broke into a nearby house where they found another man sleeping.
They tied up the man and the security guard before breaking into the tuckshop, stealing the chocolates and a television set.
The three men then made off with the goods in a Mazda Rustler bakkie.
The man and the security guard were found shortly after 06:00.
Mngomezulu said an armed robbery case had been opened.
