Robbers shoot Pta man six times

Johannesburg - This weekend a man had his first opportunity to tell the story of how he had been shot more than six times by robbers more than a week ago.
Nollie Cilliers, 35, the chairperson of the Witwatersrand Orchid Society, was in the intensive care unit of a hospital in Vanderbijlpark.
Rias Cilliers, 42, said his brother had been attached to ventilator since he was hospitalised, after being shot by four robbers in the early hours of May 16 at his house in Winternest in northern Pretoria.
"This weekend my brother could tell us for the first time what had happened," Rias said.
Bad condition
"At about 02:00 his dog started barking.
He took the dog outside and walked into four men.
"He was standing about 10 steps from them.
They shot at the dog twice and six times at him.
The dog wasn't hit.
"My brother ran away and hid in his bakkie.
"The robbers went into the house, stole two cellphones and a laptop and fled."
Nollie was hit twice in the chest, twice in the hand, once in the shoulder and once in the arm.
Rias said his brother was in a very bad condition and was becoming worse almost every day.
"He wouldn't hurt a fly, then this happens," he said.
