Roodepoort mall fire under control

2012-05-28 09:07

Johannesburg - A fire that broke out at the Princess Crossing shopping centre in Roodepoort on Monday was under control by 08:00, Johannesburg emergency management services said.

The fire started around 06:30 at the Dis-Chem pharmacy on Ontdekkers Road and spread to neighbouring shops, spokesperson Robert Mulaudzi said.

No one was injured. Firefighters battled the flames for about an hour.

"When the firefighters are finished, we will send in a fire investigation team to look at what could have caused it," Mulaudzi said.

Started at Dischem .....mmmm ... is it possible that unethical pharmaceutical practices caused fire to start?
