Roy Padayachie's funeral on Wednesday

Durban - The official funeral of late Public Service and Administration Minister Roy Padayachie will take place at the Sahara Kingsmead Stadium in Durban on Wednesday, the presidency said.

It will start at 11:00.

His body will be cremated at the Clare Estate Crematorium at 15:00, it said in a statement on Monday.

"The condolence books for members of the public who wish to send condolence messages have been placed at the Union Buildings in Pretoria and at Tuynhuys in Cape Town."

Padayachie, 62, died in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, on Friday. He was attending the African Peer Review Mechanism meeting.
