Rustenburg man kidnaps, rapes girlfriend

2012-04-09 14:37

Kroondal - A 28-year-old Rustenburg man has been arrested for allegedly kidnapping and raping his girlfriend, North West police said on Monday.

The man was arrested at Matabeleng in Kroondal on Sunday, said Captain Adele Myburgh.

The girlfriend, 25, had allegedly been on her way to report the man's abusive behaviour on March 3 when she he grabbed her and dragged her to his house.

"He gave her money and ordered her to buy him cigarettes on April 4 and she then managed to escape."

Myburgh said the man had allegedly raped the victim over this period.

"The victim reported the matter to the police, who arrested the suspect."

He was expected to appear in the Rustenburg Magistrate's Court soon on charges of kidnapping and rape.

  • Alfred - 2012-04-09 15:02

So, 'when she he grabbed her' did she fight she he back?

      lytteot7 - 2012-04-09 15:12

Sello if u were smart enough you will realize Alfred is mocking whoever wrote this story. Didn't you see \when she he grabbed her\ on the article? You too quick to insult people without understanding.

      Alfred - 2012-04-09 15:19

Hang on lytteot, let's see how long it takes for the lightbulb to come on ;)

      lytteot7 - 2012-04-09 15:27

As a matter of fact Alfred this guy is a brainwashed idiot who think mastering a queen's language means you are clever. Even if you were not mocking the writer, who the hell does he think he is to say someone is an idiot because they can't write english?this idiot should know there are plenty of intelligent people who speak poor or zero english. Bloody ignorant snobs.

      Lungile Rlm - 2012-04-09 16:19

Thanks for clarifying that to him because it seems like Sello cant read between the lines.. Anyway i don't blame you reading is a skill....

      Lungile Rlm - 2012-04-09 17:40

@..kensong i think I understand that....It simply means Go to hell idiot...

      Alfred - 2012-04-09 18:38

Kensong, thanks for taking the time out of waving your white flag to tell me that but the wars over, we won. You can go and ask ze Germans for the sense of humour you surrendered to them along with your country. Le lol!

      gauchet1 - 2012-04-09 19:21

No is no and yes is yes ultimately dude!

      Alfred - 2012-04-10 01:15

Lol! No worries. Sorry about the French chirp, didn't realise you were from Cameroon anyways ;)

  • Sello - 2012-04-09 15:10

Our country is under attack by Rapists and Murderers, and there doesn't seem to be any sense of urgency to fight these two crimes. I have a wife and little daughter and get worried about their safety when I am away on duty. Eish!

      Bless Boswell - 2012-04-09 15:40

Sello, you can make a big difference, by making your vote count the next time you go to the polling station.

  • catgirl1971 - 2012-04-09 15:12

I wish they'd mentioned his name as this sounds like someone I know of- typical behaviour of him (though am shocked by the rape).

      Ngaka - 2012-04-09 15:24

      His name is She He.

      Oom - 2012-04-09 17:09

Well he is soon to become somebody's She-man. Laundry man/maid at day, bubba's ho at night

  • Frank - 2012-04-09 15:39

I see that the rpist are on the roll today. One moron rapes a 9 year old girl, this one rapes his girlfriend. Im confused, is it a Easter Monday today or Rapist Monday? I mean, wtf? Ive got a solution.. Send them to the Townhips and we'll show you how its properly done. All you need is a tyre, patrol and acid and the job is done.

      Bless Boswell - 2012-04-09 15:47

Frank, the rape crime that you refer to is violent and brutal - dealing with it in a violent and brutal way as a vigilante is not going to solve any problems. What this country needs is to deal with serious crime in a serious and permanent way - and we all know which way that is ... Unfortunately our esteemed president has chosen to disregard that form of punishment - we can only ponder the reasons for that.

      Lungile Rlm - 2012-04-09 15:55

@...frank it seems like thugs see holidays as days 2 exercise their commitments..

  • Andrew - 2012-04-09 15:47

Grace now do you believe my earlier comments as to who continuously commits these crimes. It is the same day in and day out. Pure bloody barbarics!!!

      Grace - 2012-04-09 15:54

Grant I never disputed the prevalence of these 'actS' in certain areas. My argument was that the focus should NOT be taken off the victim because of where they live. They remain victims regardless.

  • Andrew - 2012-04-09 15:49

Sad the only organ they can use to think lies between their legs!!!

  • vumani.d.tshabalala - 2012-04-09 16:13

Lol we (blacks) are messing everything up,but the thing I like is that we have a right to blame apartheid for anything wrong we do,*proudly South African*

      Sharon - 2012-04-09 16:36

It is actually so sad. Can't we get a neutral colour like pink and just respray everybody. Then we won't have these stupid comments about black and white.

      Johnny - 2012-04-09 16:38

You have a sick sense of humour. No South African will be proud with you. We do not how much we have to be grateful for. You speak for yourself if you think you are messing everything up. There are millions of black people who are extremely proud to positively contribute to SA and improve themselves. Think again before you humiliate yourself in a public forum like this.

      Bless Boswell - 2012-04-09 16:43

No you don't have a right to blame whites for your Behaviour. White people don't regard rape as a rite of passage. So that behaviour was never learnt from Them. That you would rather live this way shows very clearly that you are rather low on the evolutionary ladder.

      Cassandra Olivier - 2012-04-09 17:40

@ Vumai: If you blame apartheid for your mistakes all the time it means you not grown up enough to take responsibility for your own actions

      gauchet1 - 2012-04-09 19:44

The more you blame apartheid the more you reveal that you are useless Lol...

      Mofamadi - 2012-04-09 20:04

U know what de only thing we can do is stop blaming others 4 our mistakes

      Toofaan - 2012-04-09 20:25

you're part of the problem. Cannot get ahead wothout playing the race card --- Useless!!!. Did u ever try to get anywhere on your own merit ?

      VisionRI - 2012-04-09 20:57

Dear vumani. F you and your ignorant outlook of my people.\r\nSincerely, a progressive black male
