SA has enough blood supply - SANBS

Johannesburg - South Africa's blood stock is back to an adequate level, with a five day supply which is the minimum standard, the SA National Blood Service (SANBS) said on Tuesday.

Earlier this month, the service urged the public to donate blood without delay at the nearest donor centre because there was a low supply, with a reserve of less than two days.

"We would like to thank all South Africans who responded to our call to action," SANBS said.

I don't understand this continuous problem with insufficient blood. Pay for the stuff and you'll have plenty of it.
