Cape Town - A South African man has been arrested in the US for two murders in the state of New Mexico, EWN reported on Thursday.
Meanwhile, Muziwokuthula Madonda, 33, is also the suspect in two other killings in Ohio State.
According to the Quay County Sun news website from the US, Madonda is charged for two open counts of murder and tampering with evidence for the shooting deaths of Gabriel Baca and Bobby Gonzales at the Tucumcari Inn in New Mexico on March 24.
He is also being investigated for two other deaths in February, one of whom is also a South African who knew Mandonda.
Those victims, the Quay County Sun reported, have been identified as Jackie Hider, a woman from Akron Ohio, and Zenzele Mdadane, who lived in New York but whose body was found in Butler Township in Ohio.
EWN reported that Madonda confessed to Hider’s killing.
According to an Ohio detective, Rick Edwards, a warrant was issued for Madonda’s arrest on the charges of aggravated murder, aggravated burglary and aggravated robbery.
An information request has also been sent to the Butler Township Police Department for a warrant affidavit regarding Mdadane’s homicide.
There were no additional details about Mdadane's death.
