Johannesburg - The SABC has appointed a task team to implement issues raised in the auditor general's (AG) report, the public broadcaster said on Thursday.
"The task team is appointed to deal with the implementation of all the issues that were raised in the AG report," spokesperson Kaizer Kganyago said.
"Some of the issues were implemented but there was concern from both Parliament and the department of communications that we should expedite the implementation."
He said in his first week as acting chief operations officer, Hlaudi Motsoeneng had managed to assemble a team, headed by Sully Motsoene and Tiaan Olivier, to speed up the implementation.
"The team comprises internal personnel who have expertise suitable for the issues raised in the AG report," he said.
The team has been given one month to finalise the implementation and report back to Motsoeneng.
"Our legal, audit and risk divisions will provide assurance on the outcome of the whole process, ensuring that all the objectives and goals of the task team are executed accordingly and that the set goals are met," said Kganyago.
