Johannesburg - Eleven school children were injured when their bus hit a power line tower on the Wildebeeslaagte road outside Potchefstroom in the North West on Thursday afternoon, paramedics said.
"Paramedics... arrived on the scene and found the bus firmly wedged into the tower.
"Twenty-one children including the driver were found seated on the floor near to the accident," ER24 spokesperson Derrick Banks said.
Eleven slightly injured children were treated at the scene before being taken to various hospitals.
Banks said the accident happened when the driver lost control.
"It is unclear what caused the driver to lose control," he said.
