School children find decomposed body
Durban - A woman's decomposing body was found by children on their way to school on Wednesday, KwaZulu-Natal police said.
Warrant Officer Joey Jeevan said the school children were walking along the railway line when they discovered the body at 07:30.
The unidentified woman, of about 40-years-old, was lying in the field about 20m from the railway line and nearby houses, she said.
"The children immediately informed residents. The community contacted the police."
Jeevan said police believed the woman had been lying in the field for four days.
A post mortem would be held to determine the cause and time of her death.
