School principal's office burnt down

Johannesburg - The principal's office at the Tsakane Secondary School on the East Rand was burnt down, Gauteng police said on Thursday.

Sergeant Mashudu Phatela said the school's caretaker notified fire services of the fire around 13:15 on Wednesday.

Damage was estimated around R60 000.

No one was injured.

Foul play was suspected. Phatela said there had reportedly been disagreements among the school's management.

No arrests had been made yet.

A case of arson was opened.

    Here we go again ............ burning. Please, News24, doesn't 1.15pm look and sound a lot better and easier to write than 13:15? It looks stupid!
