Search on for KwaZulu-Natal paddler
Johannesburg - A search was conducted offshore from the Port Shepstone beachfront on Thursday after a paddle ski was found floating out to sea, KwaZulu-Natal police said.
A civilian saw the paddle ski about a kilometre out to sea, near Tweni beach, Lieutenant-Colonel Zandra Wiid said in a statement.
Police searched the vicinity with a helicopter and were joined by the National Sea Rescue Institute using a boat.
"It is unknown at this stage who the paddler might be and no one has contacted the police as yet regarding a missing paddler," Wiid said.
