Second man arrested for Mpumalanga murder

Johannesburg - A second man was arrested on Friday in connection with the murder of David Lodrick Foxon, 43, in Hazyview, Mpumalanga police said.

Colonel Leonard Hlathi said a 20-year-old man was arrested in Mahushu Trust near Hazyview.

"The man was found in possession of a Norinco pistol, believed to have been used to kill Foxon."

The weapon would be sent for ballistic tests. Hlathi said the man was expected to appear in the White River Magistrate's Court on Monday, April 16.

Silindile Mokoena, 30, arrested on the night of the murder, appeared in the Hazyview Periodical Court on Friday. This case was postponed to April 19.

The two men allegedly bound Foxon and his wife with cable ties while they ransacked their house on Tuesday night. Foxon managed to free himself and grabbed one of the robbers, but was shot dead. Sapa
