Nigel - A second teenage boy was beaten to death in two days here by a group using sticks, stones and iron pipes, police said.
The 16-year-old was attacked on Tuesday at 11:45 behind a butchery near Balfour Road in Laversburg, said superintendent Andy Pieke.
Two men, aged between 30 and 40, were arrested. A panga and knobkerrie were confiscated, said Pieke.
The men were due to appear in court on Thursday on a charge of murder.
On Monday, a 17-year-old boy was attacked by a mob in nearby Alra Park. He died later in hospital.
Pieke said police were investigating whether these murders were linked to the stabbing to death of 18-year-old December Sibonyani, whose body was found in Sastri Drive, Mackenzieville, in Nigel, on Monday.
He was last been seen alive about 20:00 the previous night.
Pieke said two 17-year-olds were arrested for the murder and appeared in court on Tuesday when the case was postponed for further investigation.
Another two youths, aged 17 and 18, had since been arrested and were due to appear in court on Wednesday.
