Seven dead in FS crash

Johannesburg - Seven people, including two children, were killed in a three-car accident on the N5 near Bethlehem in the Free State on Tuesday, SABC radio news reported.

A car with six occupants tried to overtake another car at a bend in the road. The car collided with an oncoming bakkie and then also hit the car it was overtaking.

All six occupants of the overtaking car died in the crash, as well as one of the occupants of the bakkie.

According to an eyewitness account, the driver trying to overtake had been talking on a cellphone, SABC reported.
