Mbombela - Neighbours of a well-to-do Middelburg family have
told of their shock at the arrest of Ronelé Ciciliato, 54, for the murder of
her businessman husband Tiziano (TC) Ciciliato.
It was reported earlier this week how Ciciliato was stabbed
to death in his home while his wife and daughter were out buying ice cream,
reported Beeld.
The murdered man’s brother, who didn’t want to give his name
said: “You don’t know what I am going through. Last week I still had a brother
and now I don’t. Today is just the start of a long road.”
A neighbour of the Ciciliatos said the couple were very
quiet and that the wife was a “gentle person who was softly-spoken”.
Another neighbour confirmed this and said she very nice and
friendly.
On Thursday, the murdered man’s wife, her domestic worker
Annah Mokwana, 51, and five others appeared in court.
Brigadier André Smith, Middelburg police station commander
said in a statement that Mokwana had arranged for the men to commit the murder.
“The group refused to commit the murder. One of the men’s
sister organised another group to do the job for R10 000,” said Smith.
Ten people were originally arrested but three were released.
The Ciciliatos owned car dealerships in Middelburg.
