Cape Town - Four University of Stellenbosch students who allegedly shot six women students with a pellet gun at the university last week will appear in the local magistrate's court on Thursday, police said on Wednesday.
Stellenbosch police spokesperson Captain Anton de Kock said all six women students had laid charges with the police. The women were shot in their lower thighs.
De Kock said the students would apply for bail on Thursday.
He said Stellenbosch University, legal representatives and police were still sorting out some technicalities that had come up, but the investigation was on track.
"It's for the prosecutor to decide what charges the four men will face," De Kock said.
The four students could face six charges of attempted murder and one of malicious damage to property after the window of a BMW was shot out.
