Pretoria - Pretoria police were hunting on Friday for a group of eight men who robbed the Spar and Wimpy at the Princess Shopping Centre in Centurion on Thursday afternoon.

The men entered the shop just after 07:00 and held the staff at gunpoint, said Superintendent Morné van Wyk.

They shot and injured a staff member as they left the shop with an unknown amount of money.

Van Wyk said the men robbed the Wimpy cashier as they left the shopping complex.

The Spar employee was slightly injured.

Police are investigating.
