Six hurt in Durban accident

2010-10-02 17:25
Johannesburg - Six people were injured, one man critically injured, in an accident on Saturday afternoon near Shongweni outside Durban, emergency personnel said.

"It is thought that the vehicle struck the barrier and then rolled several times ejecting the occupants through broken windows," said Netcare 911 spokesperson Jeff Wicks.

He said the exact cause of the accident was unclear and would be investigated by police.

The critically injured man was airlifted to a Durban hospital and the rest were transported there by ambulance.
