Johannesburg - Traffic will be diverted around three of Johannesburg's stadiums on Saturday, for two major sporting events and a rock concert, metro police said.

"Motorists should be reminded that traffic will be diverted along Corlett Drive outside the Wanderers Stadium for the cricket test between South Africa and Pakistan," Chief Superintendent Wayne Minnaar said.

He said the barricades between Rudd and Atholl Oaklands roads in Illovo would be removed at 18:00.

"Nasrec Road and the Soweto Highway will be blocked around the National Stadium for the Red Hot Chili Peppers concert from 2pm to midnight [14:00 - 00:00]."

Minnaar said Mooki Road in Soweto will be blocked off in front of the Orlando Stadium from 12:00 until 18:00 for the rugby match between the Blue Bulls and the Lions.
