Johannesburg - A man has pleaded with his father to leave
his grandchildren alone while living in the same house because the father was
facing molestation charges, according to a report on Saturday.
Beeld reported that the man wrote a letter to the Brits
Magistrate's Court about what happened when his father went to live with him
and his family.
"The reason I asked him... was because I knew about the
two cases of child molestation against him and because he molested my sister
and I as children," the man wrote in a letter to court.
"After a few months of having my father stay by us, my
wife and I found out that my father molested my daughter."
Proud
The 54-year-old father, from Centurion, is in court for
allegedly kidnapping a 13-year-old and exposing her to pornography.
According to the report the Centurion man went to stay with
his son after losing his job and needed a memory card replaced and fixed and
asked his son to do it.
"When I asked him why it was so important to have the
card restored, my father told me he had pictures on it of him sleeping with
[the 13-year-old] on it," the letter read.
"He was really proud of it and shared other details
with me that upset me..."
