2012-04-23 14:33

Johannesburg - Five teenagers will appear in the Protea Magistrate's Court in Soweto on Monday on charges of rape and robbery, Gauteng police said.

Warrant Officer Kay Makhubela said the five, aged between 15 and 19, were arrested on March 31 in Thokoza Park, Rockville, in Soweto.

Police caught them after they allegedly robbed five girls, and gang raped one of them.

      Peter - 2012-04-23 14:43

..... and that one FOOL, in an earlier user-article, want us to believe appartheid is to blame? Seriously? For a 15 year old? Hang them by the nuts. (Oh, so sorry ... nuts is now a racist term .. or is it only COCONUTS??)

      shireen.abbas - 2012-04-23 14:56

      At peter lmao

      Dave - 2012-04-23 16:28

Set an example that will deter others from doing the same and protect our children from themselves. Teach them , here is a good oppertunity to show the rest its not worth the risk of getting caught.

  • Sharon - 2012-04-23 14:38

Age between 15 and 19. I rest my case.

  • CharlesDumbwin - 2012-04-23 14:39

why are teenage boys raping and murdering? they seem to be involved current rapes and farm murders. Something is wrong

      Peter - 2012-04-23 14:44

A 19 year old is NOT a flippen BOY!!!

      Gigo - 2012-04-23 14:45

Not boys only girls also rape. We are living in poverty and when YL calls for land distribution and minerals ownership to create jobs for young people, you refuse to cooperate.

      Julian - 2012-04-23 14:53

Wow. Do you really think the YL's cretinous proposals will improve the situation in our country? Taking away land and giving it to people who wouldn't know what to do with it won't stop these people raping women. They are just evil to their core and nothing will change that.

      Gigo - 2012-04-23 14:55

@Julian What makes people to rape?

      Julian - 2012-04-23 14:59

Sganja, not only poor men rape women and raping a woman doesn't change your socio-economic situation. People rape because they are evil and obviously mentally unstable.

      Zimbobwe - 2012-04-23 14:59

@sganja I never ever thought poverty will make you rape. Were do you get the strength to rape a person if you are hungry??? Itjooo... this is the first mzansi le metlholo!!! If you don't have a job then go and rape... bathong what's going on???

      Gigo - 2012-04-23 15:12

@Zimbobwe If these boys were working and not smoking Nyaope they wouldn't have rape, most of the time they are on drugs and become gangsta's. Unemployment can be taken as one of the reason why people rape. I stand to be corrected thou.

      Zimbobwe - 2012-04-23 15:19

I was unemployed for 2 years and my younger brother for 4 years but we didn't rape. My friend has been unemployed for 5 years but he is not raping.

      Gigo - 2012-04-23 15:21

@Zimbobwe where you smoking drugs or a member of gangsta?Well correct me if I'm wrong but i think it have some impact...

      Zimbobwe - 2012-04-23 15:30

My nephew has beeing on Nyaope for more than 5 years but he never raped. He harrased his mother, stole from home, beat hs sisters but never raped or stole from othe people. He is in jail now!!!

      Gigo - 2012-04-23 15:35

      Ok Brother maybe I'm wrong...

      Zimbobwe - 2012-04-23 15:40

@Sganja I think it got to do with oneself. This nephew of mine started this behaviour after seeing his father rape his 8 year old cousin. His father was arrested and got out after 18mnths. Since then he has been on nyaope and generally behaving badly but never raped.

Ag nee man. Fathers need to step up n teach their sons how to treat women. This domestic problem where fathers are absent at home or neglect their responsibilities as fathers is starting to filter down in such instances. I'm not doubting the ability of women to raise boys to men but troublesome boys often need a positive male role model nearby. These horrific acts need to stop!

      desertratbkf - 2012-04-23 14:54

      Yeah, yeah, inhumane! I know!

      michael.a.devilliers - 2012-04-23 15:02

They don't care - they either believe it's not a crime or aren't scared of being caught. Just look at countries with very lenient justice systems and their rates of crime - punishment doesn't scare them.

  • Dipuo - 2012-04-23 14:58
