Stepmom in court for 'HIV jab'

Johannesburg - A Limpopo nurse who allegedly injected her six-year-old stepson with HIV-contaminated blood appeared in court on Thursday on a charge of attempted murder, reported SABC news.

The 33-year-old nurse from Matikwana Hospital near Bushbuckridge appeared in Emkhuhlu regional court in connection with the incident in January last year.

Tests have shown the boy is now HIV-positive. The nurse is out on bail of R1 500, reported the SABC.

Her case was postponed to November 11 as the presiding magistrate was on leave.
