Taxi dragging case postponed
Johannesburg - The trial of a minibus taxi driver who allegedly ran over a young advocate and dragged her under his taxi was postponed by the Randburg Magistrate's Court on Tuesday.
Matome Thamage, 30, will appear in court again on March 30.
Thamage's taxi allegedly hit McCusker and dragged her along Lonehill Boulevard in September.
Afterwards, she was taken to hospital and underwent surgery. McCusker was later reportedly discharged from hospital.
In a telephone interview after the court case, McCusker's father Douglas said there was no truth to the rumours that his daughter had died. "She's back home... alive and she's doing very well."
