Is a 10-second long orgasm really worth ruining someone's life over?! Our gender sure is dumb.

He will probably be tried as a minor-get put into a place of safety for a year and be back on the street! No wonder we are the rape capital of the world!!!Todays teens are left mostly to raise themselves and very little parental supervision and guidance is given. At 15 they are drinking in taverns already. Time for parents to get tough!

While I agree with you that teens are left by themselves, I do hope you are not saying it is an excuse for all this rubbish teens catch up to? Because really, there is NO excuse for rape. We were basically left to ourselves as teens as well, and while we were not complete angels, we didn't go around raping and murdering, etc.

we shld nt blame kids bt parents bcos most of the kids are neglected by their parents. Go ask where the mother was and the answer wil be smtin thts happening in our communities. NICE TIME.

That was my thought too. When I was small the oldest of the cousins got to look after the little ones - and we were always safe - sometimes got a smack - but never anything else. Something's gone seriously wrong!

There's nothing more embarrassing than being a human these days. Animals are laughing at us.

what the heck is wrong with the males in this country? If they're not killing us they're raping us! It's tough being a woman in south africa!

Don't think you should paint the males with the same brush @ pixie86.

      Jayson - 2012-04-21 15:59

Pixie. Its not all South African males. Pls don't generalize.

      Pixie86 - 2012-04-21 16:42

oh duh, of course it's not all men! Really! You missed the point. it's men who rape. Women are no longer safe. Anyone could be a rapist!

      Ishmael - 2012-04-21 17:36

@ Pixie86..and what do u say about those 2 mentally ill boys who were raped by 2 girls in soweto..rape know's no gender..our youth no longer have morals due 2 poor or no parenting. The new SA..with it's rights..

      Bless Boswell - 2012-04-22 10:49

Pixie - both males and females are rape victims. It's not just women. The fact remains that it is a mental disorder. - not a sexual one. Cutting off their wedding tackle is not going to fix the problem. They need to be removed from society - better still - put down like rabid dogs. That way, they'll never do it again.

Pixle...it's seems women are joining "the in thing"

  • Rethamyh - 2012-04-21 17:32

Ok I know that there is a flu and tummy bug doing it's rounds but this rape crap is getting out of hand!

They must beat the lights out of him!!! Let him learn!

      Bless Boswell - 2012-04-22 16:31

Sabelo, what if the person who ought to be punishing him is also guilty of the same Behaviour? The intervention must come in where it starts - sadly for many, it's far too late.

He is suppose to protect his niece, not harm her! I have seven nieces and nephews and will readily die for them.

  • Arthur - 2012-04-22 12:12

What's up with these teens? No respect for their elders, no discipline, no manners is one thing - raping and murdering... is this where it's led?

  • Bless Boswell - 2012-04-22 16:28

I thought that families had a built-in "immunity" against wanting to have sex with one another. Also that when this immunity is not there, it means that the moral values have broken down. What has happened to our society? I think it's in crisis.

what has south africa come to? is this what democracy entails? the freedom to commit violence?
