Teen tells of sexual assault

2012-02-29 07:56
Cape Town - A 31-year-old man has appeared in court after being accused of sexually assaulting a 14-year-old girl on two occasions.

Gerald Abrahams was linked to the brutal death of his daughter Kim Abrahams, whose body was found in 2005, the Daily Voice reported.

A neighbour, Jerome Holmes, was arrested for the murder. He later said he had seen Abrahams walking into bushes with his daughter and that he had heard Kim making gurgling noises. He also said they were both under the influence of drugs.

Both Holmes and Abrahams were acquitted on all charges.

But on Friday, Abrahams appeared in court after being arrested for indecently touching another girl when she spent the night at his home.

The girl told the Daily Voice she woke up to find Abrahams touching her private parts on two occasions. He stopped when she asked him what he was doing.

"I was sleeping when I felt someone get in next to me and when I turned on my cellphone’s light, it was him. He tried to put his arms around me but I pushed him away and again he got up and left."
After the second incident, the girl told her sister.

Abrahams’s wife of nine months has reportedly left him after the latest allegations against him. They have a 2-year-old son.

Abrahams was released on R1 000 bail.
