Durban - Ten people have been killed in two separate road accidents in KwaZulu-Natal since Friday afternoon.
According to KZN traffic department spokesperson, Colin Govender, five people - including the driver - were killed in a car crash on the P449 Jozini Sodwana road on Saturday morning.
Govender said: "The driver apparently lost control of the vehicle (a Toyota Corolla), it overturned and went down a bank in the Zululand area of the KZN province."
The cause of the accident is not known.
On Friday, four passengers were killed when the back tyre of a minibus taxi burst, causing it to overturn on the R74 Bergville road.
The driver of the taxi was also killed.
Govender said 12 other passengers were injured and taken to the nearby Emmaus hospital.
