Cape Town - A woman who is said to be a trailblazer for township tourism was brutally murdered at her Khayelitsha home.

Nobantu Ntozini, 39, also known as Vicky, was the well-known and popular owner of Vicky’s B&B in Site C, reported Die Burger.

Ntozini was stabbed to death in her bedroom by someone who was apparently well known to her.
Her five children were said to be devastated and struggling to cope with her death.

A family friend said the family was woken by screaming coming from Ntozini’s bedroom in the early hours of the Wednesday morning.

A man was found strangling Ntozini.

“I screamed at him and begged him to stop but he wouldn’t,” said the unnamed friend.

Ntozini was stabbed three times with a knife after which her attacker stabbed himself.
He was in hospital under police guard.

Head of Cape Town Tourism Mariette du Toit-Helmbold said Ntozini was a trailblazer in the field of tourism in townships.

“She was a charismatic woman, loved and respected by visitors and all in tourism. We send our deepest condolences to her family and friends. You are in our thoughts.”
