2012-07-04 09:12

Johannesburg - A tow truck driver was seriously injured when he crashed his vehicle into a house in South Hills on Tuesday night, Johannesburg metro police said.

The vehicle had been towing a broken down beer truck when the driver lost control on Oudspan road, said Chief Superintendent Wayne Minnaar.

"He hit a tree and then drove through a fence of a property and crashed into the bedroom of the house."

No one in the house, situated on the corner of Healy road, was injured. The driver of the beer truck was not hurt.

Minnaar said the tow truck driver was trapped in his vehicle and had to be freed by emergency services. He was taken to the Union hospital.

The cause of the accident was not known.

Would it be so bad if the owner of the house helped himself to a case or two? I would plead stress and trauma :)

"The cause of the accident was not known." Maybe the tow truck driver and the beer truck driver got into the merchandise...
