Loose truck wheel hits, kills pedestrian

Durban - A pedestrian was killed on Thursday when he was struck by a wheel which came off a truck on the N2 in Durban, paramedics said.

The man, in his early 30s, suffered fatal injuries, said ER24 spokesperson Derrick Banks.

The truck was moving in the middle lane towards Umhlanga when two of its wheels came off.

The man was found in the emergency lane, and was declared dead on the scene.

    People really shouldn't walk along highways. Not only do we have crazy drivers out there, but also negligent people like in this case. Condolences to this guy's family.
