Two arrested for mosque murder

Durban - Two men have been arrested for allegedly shooting dead a man in an attempted hijacking in Sydenham, Durban, KwaZulu-Natal police said on Tuesday.

"A 23-year-old man was arrested in Nongoma and a 24-year-old suspect was arrested in Ntuzuma on Monday night," Captain Thulani Zwane said.

Shaber Asmal, 52, was shot in the head as he was coming out of a mosque on January 16. He died in hospital.

The men would appear for murder and attempted hijacking in the Durban Magistrate's Court on Thursday.

    Even at prayers one cant be assured a safe return home the death penalty must be imposed............ eye for an eye tooth for a tooth or send them to china .............yes please:)

    Well done to SAPS.Let's hope if they are the culprits,they are convicted and put away for the next 25 years.The cops must not bungle so that these killers go scott free due to a technicality.

    It's very sad indeed may God accept his soul and rest him in paradise.For the murderers let them enjoy freedom in our govt but sooner they will be in the fire of hell.
